The Big Bash League(BBL) has had a very long history as well with the 13th edition going on right now. This league has given us some great T20 games that have been iconic for a long time. It is another league that is spreading the joy of cricket as far as it can and is the only franchise league which is competing with the likes of the Indian Premier League right now.

There have been some great and talented players who have featured in the tournament and have gone on to have some spectacular careers in the future. The likes of Travis Head and Mitchell Starc are some of the names that were introduced in this popular T20 franchise league, but some players have been performing consistently for years and are still one of the most iconic players.

The one player who has enjoyed his long and prosperous career in T20s is Shaun Marsh. The firstborn of iconic opener Geoff Marsh and older brother of all-rounder Mitchell Marsh came into the limelight at the age of 25 and became one of the young prodigies for Australia. The 40-year-old Southpaw from Western Australia who is known for his impeccable technique and ability to play long innings has been a 3 time BBL champion with the Perth Scorchers. His T20 career has been impressive as well, playing over 200 matches and scoring over 7000 runs at an average of 37.90 which also includes 2 centuries.

He started Cricket Australia(CA) and will be retiring from cricket completely. The star batter also showed his appreciation to the Renegades saying he has enjoyed playing with the Renegades and he appreciates the coaches and staff backing him as well.

Shaun Marsh has had a big impact on the game with his incredible innings and approach to the game. He has scored a lot of vital runs at the top and won’t be forgotten by the cricketing fraternity. He has held the legacy of the Marsh family high and has made his nation and his franchise proud. The cricketing world will be missing the great left-hander and his memorable innings in international and T20 cricket. This will be an emotional moment for everybody in the Renegades and Australia to see him finally say goodbye to the game.
