As they say in Cricket if you are ignored even after performing consistently back it up with an even better performance so that ignoring you would become next to impossible and same happened with Sarfaraz Khan who got his maiden India call-up for the 2nd test against England in Visakhapatnam.

After suffering a humbling defeat in the 1st test at Hyderabad, the situation got even worse for the Indian team as their two key players- Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul got ruled out of the 2nd test because of injuries.

Ravindra Jadeja pulled off his hamstring while attempting a second run during India’s second innings innings, whereas KL Rahul complained of pain in his right quadriceps. With Virat Kohli already making himself unavailable for the first two tests, India is now in hot waters after losing the first test match.

The Indian management had already roped in Rajat Patidar in place of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Jadeja’s injuries have opened a gateway for Washington Sundar and Sarfaraz Khan for the 2nd Test match. Given the recent injuries and Virat Kohli's unavailability, there is a strong possibility that either Rajat Patidar or Safaraz, both middle-order batsmen, will likely make their Test debut in Vizag.
