Narendra Modi comes up with a huge gesture toward Team India –
As per reports, Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has invited the entire Indian Cricket Team to New Delhi. It is believed the honourable Indian Prime Minister will speak to the Indian cricket team and laud their feat of reaching the ODI World Cup 2023 final.
The Indian team is ready to take on Australia in a five-match ODI series. Suryakumar Yadav will be the skipper of the side in the absence of Hardik Pandya who is still not fit. The Indian all-rounder had injured himself during the ODI World Cup 2023 game versus Bangladesh in Pune.
Ruturaj Gaikwad has been named the vice-captain of the side with youngsters like Rinku Singh and Yashasvi Jaiswal finding a spot in the team. Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar make a comeback to the team, along with Washington Sundar.
As per sources, Shreyas Iyer will be back for the final two games and will take over the vice-captaincy of the side. The Indian Cricket Board also wants to invest more into Washington Sundar as the transition from Ravichandran Ashwin's future in white ball cricket is set to begin.
