India won the last T20I of the series against Australia. The series ended on a good note for India, while Australia cap off a memorable season in India. It was not a typical flat wicket in M Chinnaswamy stadium, where batters would have otherwise felt at home. The pitch in Bengaluru had some assistanece for the bowlers. Both the pacers and the spinners had something in the pitch for their assistance.

Australia won the toss and invited India to bat first. The young duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad could not do much damage from their part. Jaiswal was decent, as he scored 21 runs in 15 balls. Gaikwad had a bad outing, as he scored 10 runs in 12 balls. Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh did not perform as well, as they scored 5(7) and 6(8) respectively.

All of a sudden, India found themselves at 55/4. From there, the trio of Shreyas Iyer, Jitesh Sharma, and Axar Patel rescued India from their handy knocks. Jitesh and Axar played supportive roles to Iyer. The duo scored 24(16) and 31(21) respectively. The star of India's batting was Iyer, who scored 53(37) by bringing out caution and aggression in equal proportions.

India claim win in a thrilling game

India ended their innings with a score of 160 runs on the board. Chasing it, Australia was off to a flier. Despite losing Josh Philippe early, Australia was 47/1 after 4.4 overs. Travis Head scored 28(18) and gave a good start to the side. Ben McDermott played a good hand for the visiting side. The Australian number 3 scored 54 runs in 36 balls, which included 6 sixes.

Australia was crusing towards the target when he was in the middle. But from 102/3 at one stage, the former world champions collapsed to 129/7 in quick time. The onus to take the team home fell on their captain from there. Along with Nathan Ellis at the other end, Matthew Wade tried his best to win the match for his side. But the brilliant death bowling from the Indian pacers ensured that they won the match and clinched the series 4-1.
