 Australia's Mammoth Total

In the match, Australia batted first, with David Warner and Travis Head leading the charge. Their opening partnership of 175 runs laid a solid foundation for the Australian innings. Travis Head, making his World Cup debut, showcased his brilliance by scoring a century before being dismissed for 109. This, along with Warner's explosive performance, enabled Australia to post a mammoth total of 388/10 in just 49.2 overs.

Travis Head's intentions were clear from the start, as he played some audacious shots. His century off just 59 balls was Australia's third-fastest World Cup century. Head's aggressive style of play set the tone for the innings, and he departed with an impressive 109 runs off 67 balls.

Despite Australia's explosive start, New Zealand made a fine comeback by taking key wickets. Josh Inglis and Glenn Maxwell, however, formed a quickfire partnership that put the pressure back on New Zealand's bowlers.
