David Warner took to Instagram to upload a picture of Lord Ram on Instagram with the caption, ‘Jai Shree Ram’. He shared the picture on the occasion of Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha'. This sweet gesture has made the Indian fans quite emotional. Warner, who won the 2023 ICC World Test Championship, has announced his retirement from the Australian Test and One-Day International team.

His Test career totalled 8786 runs at an average of 44.59, with 26 hundred and 37 fifties. Along with 22 ODI hundreds and 33 fifties, the left-handed hitter amassed 6932 runs at an average of 45.3, which included victories in the Men's ODI World Cup in 2015 and 2023.

Warner has always been India’s favourite and has followed the culture well. Starting from Hyderabadi biryani to dancing to South Indian songs, Warner has always left the fans amused and happy at the same time. Moreover, after today’s gesture, he has built a more concrete place in his fans’ hearts. 

Surya Kumar Yadav becomes the captain of the T20I men’s team of the year


As the T20I men’s team of the year was declared, India’s Surya Kumar Yadav was named the captain after a fantastic year. In the first match of the previous season, Surya scored seven against Sri Lanka. In the next two T20Is, he scored 51 (36) and 112* (51). In addition, the prolific batter held the top place in the Men's T20I batting rankings from the previous year. 

Keeping everything in mind, he was declared the captain of the team. Along with him, there are three more Indians in the team: Yashavi Jaiswal, Ravi Bisnoi and Arshdeep Singh. All of them had a good 2023 season and will be hoping to continue their good form for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
