The 2nd Test of the India vs England series will begin on the 2nd of February at the YRS Reddy stadium in Visakhapatnam with England already announcing their playing squad ahead of the game. The Indians will want to come back after losing the 1st Test out of nowhere against the English team who managed to make an epic comeback in the 2nd innings of the game. All eyes will be on this Indian team to finally prove to the visitors why they are a tough team to beat at home. This will set out to be another potential thriller between a fearless England team and really talented Indian squad who will go head-to-head.

There is still some sad news regarding both the teams, where England will be missing the services of Jack Leach, who is one of their most experienced spinner in the squad and India will have to play without KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, who were one of the star performers for the side in the first Test match as well. There are some potential players who will be looking to play in place of these experienced individuals in Test match, but this is really a tough position for the hosts going in 1-0 in the series.

The Indians will surely miss the presence of Ravindra Jadeja in the match especially after his amazing performance in the first game vs the Barmy army, Jadeja took 5 wickets in the entire match to go with his wonderful knock of 87 in the first innings as well. Jadeja is one of the best all rounders in the world right now where he could give great performances with both bat and ball. There is no doubt that it will be tough to replace a player of his calibre in a game where they have to make a serious comeback against this dangerous looking England side.

Here are the top three reasons why the Indian team will be missing the swashbuckling all-rounder

3. Great energy in the field

There is no debate that Jadeja is an absolute athletic livewire in the field who can create opportunities out of absolutely nothing. The amount of energy and presence he has will surely be missed in the upcoming game as well. Jadeja would also keep the team’s spirit up as well with his safe hands and rocket throws that can cause a lot of damage in the field. This will surely be important even in the long hours of Test cricket. This is one of the areas where Jadeja is a complete superstar in every position he has fielded at.

2. Experience would be a key factor

Ravindra Jadeja is not only a talented individual, but also one of the most experienced players in the team right now. Even with Ravichandran Ashwin being there, it will still be tough for another spinner to suddenly come and perform against this England side. Jadeja’s experience of beating the bat several times along with his subtle variations to set up even the best batters, is something that cannot be matched by everyone. This also would have been handy in these pressure situations as well where the Indians are trailing behind after the 1st game loss.

1.Provides depth in bowling and batting lineup

Let us not forget that Jadeja is capable not only of making big breakthrough’s in the middle, but play the big innings when his team needs him the most. Without his services the Indian team will be one batter and one bowler short in the Vizag match. The depth in the squad is certainly an important factor in the team and Jaddu is the solution to that issue. The Indian team might find another great left arm spinner, but an extra batter will not be present since Kuldeep Yadav and Saurabh Kumar will be the possible replacements who are not known for their batting at all.
