London Spirit testified themselves against Oval Invincibles on Saturday (August 27th) and the match turned out to be a one-sided affair. The iconic Lord's stadium hosted the enthralling match and it was London Spirit's skipper Eoin Morgan who won the toss and elected to bat first. Adam Rossington held things together for the Spirits as the other opener Ben McDermott bagged a duck off three balls.

Josh Inglis and Dan Lawrence did not shine with the bat and put their team in trouble as they returned for cheap scores while skipper Eoin Morgan failed to capitalize on the window as he too returned for a cheap score of five. Veteran allrounder Ravi Bopara's experience did not come in handy as Sam Curran deceived him for nineteen runs.

Jordan Thompson's contribution of 27 runs did not help the flourish in the end as they put a meagre total of 122 for the loss of seven wickets at the end of the innings, providing a chance for the Invincibles to clinch an easy win. Will Jacks and Jordan Cox barged into the field with the hope to win the game for their team and the latter perished early after contributing nine runs to his team.

South African Rilee Rossouw made a vital contribution of 24 runs, while the English allrounder made his way back after scoring six runs to make way for his brother Tom Curran. A fiery inning then followed Sam Curran's wicket from Tom Curran and the Invincibles raced towards the target. The bowler managed to score four boundaries off the nine balls that he faced and Sam Billings clinched a boundary off the only ball he faced against Jordan Thompson to finish things up for the Invincibles.

Oval Invincibles clinched a convincing win against London Spirits with as many as fourteen balls to spare and six wickets under their belt.
