India took a 1-0 lead in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) series with an emphatic win over the visiting Australian side on Day 3 of the first Test at Nagpur. India defeated the Aussies by an innings and 132 runs as skipper Rohit Sharma hit the first ton of the series. At the same time, India's spin twins, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, shined bright for the hosts. Axar Patel also came in handy with essential contributions with the bat down the order.
Interestingly, the hosts are chasing a third-straight Test series win over the Australians, having won the last two BGT series in Australia. Moreover, this series against the Aussies is India's last chance to cement a place in the final of the Global Test Championship to be played at the Oval between 7 and 11 June 2023.
Delhi, Indore and Ahmedabad will host the remainder of the BGT
The two teams will now face each other in the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi for the second Test of the series. However, the venue for the third Test creates chaos among the management. It was scheduled to happen in the picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) in Dharamshala. However, the HPCA Stadium recently underwent renovation and isn't quite ready to host a match yet.
The other cities in contestation to host the third Test were Indore, Pune, Rajkot and Vishakhapatnam. Reportedly, Indore has been finalized as the venue for the third Test to be played between 1 and 5 March. The final Test of the BGT series will be played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad between 9 and 13 March.
The reported decision to conduct the third BGT Test at Indore has sparked reactions among fans on Twitter. While some are concerned about the flat pitch, some preferred Pune over Indore as a better venue for the game.

Th best ground with the best crowd. Full house not expected its confirmed. 60 m boundaries which means if the ball passes the 60 yard circle it will be a boundary. Australians beware:

I think raipur would have been better venue than indore, reason being bowl swinging on the first day and help for the spinners later on.
