The Commonwealth Games 2022 opening ceremony was a grand success. India has sent a 200+ player contingent for the event. PV Sindhu and Manpreet Singh were the flag bearers for India. It was all waves and cheers for India at the grand opening ceremony. Alexander Stadium hosted the event amid huge expectations. Over 200 events will be taking place until August 8.
The Indian contingent is young, daring, and full of strength. They are all well trained and are ready to take on the big stage. They will be taking part in 100+ events spread across 19 sports. India is the favourite to win and lead the medal tally. The Indian contingent has always done well at the Commonwealth Games. Fans hope that things will be the same this time too.
Neeraj Chopra is a notable one that will miss the Commonwealth Games 2022 event due to his injury. PV Sindhu, the Men's hockey team, and the Women's cricket team are all the ones to watch out for.
