Commonwealth Games 2022: Day 11 results for India

PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, Achanta Sharat Kamal bagged gold for India. Indian hockey team bagged silver at the Commonwealth Games 2022 Day 11.

It was all gold for India and it's contingent on the final day of the Commonwealth Games 2022. The Indian badminton stars outclassed the players of other nations to bag three golds for India, while Achanta Sharath Kamal bagged gold for India in Table Tennis. India won a total of six medals yesterday and four of them were gold medals. 

PV Sindhu stood out in the women's badminton singles while Lakshya Sen outclassed Tze Yong NG of Malaysia. Here's how Day 11 turned out to be for the Indian contingent:

Badminton:

Indian star shuttler, the Hyderabad-born PV Sindhu made it look easy against Michelle Li of Canada. She won in straight games of 21-15, and 21-13 and secured her first Commonwealth Games gold. The 27-year-old shuttler won bronze in the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth and a silver in the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth. The fierce youngster, at last, bagged a gold in the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

Lakshya Sen defeated Tze Yong NG of Malaysia to win his maiden gold at the Commonwealth Games. The young star defeated Tze Young NG in a thrilling three-set match. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won gold for India in the men's pairs event. Three out of four gold medals that India bagged yesterday were from the badminton event. 

Table Tennis:

Achanta Sharath Kamal won his third gold medal for India at the Commonwealth Games 2022 yesterday. Kamal aced in the men’s singles gold medal match against England’s Liam Pitchford. He eventually ended up bagging the gold medal for India and his third in the current year's Commonwealth Games. The ace table tennis star reigned over Pitchford with a 4-1 lead. On the other hand, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran managed to bag a bronze medal for India. 

Hockey:

Indian men's hockey team managed to get home a silver medal after losing to Australia 0-7. Australia managed to get on top of the Indian hockey team as they got a 5-0 lead at half-time. And they ended up winning the match 7-0. Indian men's hockey team, however, made the country proud with a silver medal to take India's medal tally to sixty-one.

At the end of the Commonwealth Games 2022 campaign, India ended up in the fourth rank with sixty-one medals. Out of which, 22 were gold medals, 16 were silver medals and 23 were bronze medals.
