He was looking in some mood but, unfortunately, got run-out after facing just three deliveries. Adelaide Strikers also lost the game by 59 runs, eventually.
Earlier, Sydney Sixers notched a massive score of 203 runs on the board in the first innings. Opening the innings for the team, Steven Smith played a sensational knock of 101 runs in just 56 balls, including 5 fours and 7 sixes.
His strike rate of 180.36 was something to admire. Kurtis Patterson gave him valuable support at the other end as he smacked 43 runs in 33 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six. The finishing touches were provided by Silk (31 off 16) and Christian (15 off 8), helping the team reach past 200-run total.
In reply, Adelaide Strikers were bowled out for just 144 runs. Skipper, Travis Head departed after scoring just 5 runs in 4 balls. However, Mathew Short provided a brilliant start with a 24-ball 40-run knock. Alex Carey also gave him good support but once Short got out, wickets fell in quick succession as all the players got out in single-digit scores.
Alex Carey played a handy knock of 54 runs in 35 balls but there was little support at the other end. For the Sixers, Todd Murphy was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 for 35 in 4 overs, while Ben Dwarshuis returned with figures of 3 for 28 in 4 overs.
