Ravindra Jadeja is probably the best cricketer from India out there in the current era. The best players often go through some of the worst phases in life. In most cases, it will be the players who will be at the receiving end and so is the case with the Gujarat-born as well.
Chennai’s team skipper MS Dhoni bowed out of captaincy before the start of the 2022 Indian T20 league. Much to the surprise of the fans, he passed on the baton to Ravindra Jadeja. However, the star all-rounder could not keep up with the pressure and his performance dipped going forward in the tournament.
On the other hand, MS Dhoni kept assigning the field to help the 33-year-old as much as he can. No one can be pointed out here as the Indian all-rounder looked like he only loved the captaincy role. However, through the mid of the season, the management announced that the former Indian skipper will lead the Chennai team for the rest of the season.
While the fans are speculating that the Chennai team is not having a good rapport with the legend, the management has answered otherwise. A report from Cricbuzz has revealed that the management rejected trade offers for Ravindra Jadeja from the Delhi franchise and a few other teams.
Couple of IPL franchises including Delhi Capitals requested CSK for a trade of Ravindra Jadeja, but CSK didn't accept the trade. (Reported by Cricbuzz).

Ravindra Jadeja might carry on in Chennai
The very statement about his removal from captaincy from the management ignited the fire for future rumours. To add to the misery, Ravindra Jadeja kept on putting stories that made fans speculate that all is not well between himself and the team.
To be in a team since 2012 and part ways is not an easy thing. Faf du Plessis expressed his love and desire to return to the den before making it to the Bangalore squad. It will more or less be the same in the case of Ravindra Jadeja if he moves to another franchise as he has been with the team since 2012.
However, as of now, it looks like Ravindra Jadeja will stay in the Chennai franchise. The reports that the team rejected trade offers for the legendary all-rounder speak volumes about his next stint. It might well be time for Chennai fans to unpack their yellow jerseys and print Ravindra Jadeja’s name on it.
