Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah is back in the Indian team for the Ireland series, he will be leading the side for three T2OI series. Bumrah had been out of action since September last year while recovering from a back injury. This will be the Indian pacer's first International game in 11 months, and with the Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup 2023 around the corner, Indian Cricket Team fans are highly appreciating this news on social media. 

On India’s 77th Independence Day, 2023, he posted a picture from the flight, where he and other team members will be taking off to Ireland for the 20-over format series. Intrestingly the picture went viral on social media after the 29-year-old shared it. It is pertinent to mention that the right-arm pacer has taken 121 wickets in 72 ODIs till this date, along with an average of 24.3, he played his last fixture against Australia in September ,2022. 

Jasprit Bumrah's return will be important for Asia Cup 2023 and ODI WC 2023

The Indian pacer is expected to be in the upcoming important  clashes in ODI WC and Asia Cup in a few weeks. Speaking of the squad of the Indian team on the Ireland tour, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma, Arshdeep Singh, and Mukesh Kumar will be joining Bumrah on this voyage, Indian team will be looking to win this series after losing the last one against the West Indies by 2-3. 

The Ireland series is also the maiden call-up of some Indian Premier League (IPL) stars like Rinku Singh and wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma. However, all the attention this time will be on the last series debutant, Tilak, who shined in the Caribbean series, he ended up being the leading scorer from the Indian side. Whereas the first game of three T20I series against Ireland will start on August 18 in Dublin, after that, Men in Blue will be in the Asian Games 2022, and in Hangzhou next month, the Indian team will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad.
