Indian space agency successfully launched Chandrayaan-3, the lunar exploration mission conducted by the organization to achieve a safe landing on the surface of the moon. The GSLV Mark3 LVM3 rocket lifted off successfully in Sriharikota from Sathish Dhawan Space Centre. The lunar vehicle consists of a rover, a propulsion module, and a lander.

India launched Chandrayaan-2 in 2019 and failed to achieve a safe landing. Chandrayaan-3 is attempting to achieve the same. The chairman of the Indian space agency, S Somanath, said that the soft landing attempt on the surface of the moon will take place on August 23 at 5:47 pm. The total budget of the project is estimated to be around INR 600 Crores.

Wishes pour to the Scientists

Following the successful launch of the vehicle, many personalities wished the Indian space agency. The prominent ones are the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian President Draupadi Murmu, the former ISRO Scientist Nambi Narayanan, the Home Minister Amit Shah, the director of ISRO; S Somanath, the Union Minister of State Science and Technology; Dr Jitendra Singh, and many others.

Many cricketers wished the Indian space agency a successful launch. The Indian legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar mentioned his happiness about the launching of Chandrayaan-3. The former World Cup Winner congratulated all the scientists involved in the project.

The former Indian cricketer took to Twitter and posted his tweet which read “ISRO’s payloads carry the dreams, pride and belief of 1.4 billion Indians. Chandrayaan-3 launch swells all our hearts with pride. Congratulations to all our scientists for their untiring efforts. A memorable day for all Indians. Jai Hind! #Chandrayaan3”.

The safe landing of Chandrayaan-3 is important for India. If successful, India will join the elite league of nations like the United States of America, Russia, and China to achieve a safe landing on the surface of the Moon. While safe landing is the primary goal of the mission, it will further help India to conduct chemical analysis and find new technologies needed for future missions.
