Cameron Green went for a whopping 17.50 crore after a big bidding war between the franchises. The plus points of having Cameron Green are that he can play well against spin and pace and can break partnerships with the ball.

Cameron Green has been the talk of the town ever since he made his Test debut for Australia as he has all-around capabilities with the bat and the ball. Cameron Green can bowl at 140 kmph and also can be versatile with the bat as he can bat in the top order if needed, though he has primarily batted in the middle order.

He showed what he was capable of in the three-match T20 series against India where he scored 118 runs in three matches. He opened the batting in that series. Due to the scarcity of all-rounders in the Indian T20 League auction, he was likely to go for a high price and he did.

Cameron Green joins the likes of Brevis and Stubbs

Cameron Green went to the Mumbai franchise after a fierce bidding war. This buy strengthens the middle order in a big way for Mumbai as he will join the likes of Dewald Brevis, Tristan Stubbs and Tim David. This makes the middle order for Mumbai look very dangerous and it also strengthens the lower-order batting.

Incidentally, Ricky Ponting had a funny conversation with Australian head coach Andrew Mcdonald about the Indian T20 League in an interview in a Test match against the West Indies and he said that Delhi was going to go for him, but, in the end, it wasn't enough even though Delhi bid fiercely but the war was won by Mumbai in the end.
