The star cricketer Virat Kohli revealed the reasons behind his comeback in international cricket in August 2022.

Virat Kohli has been one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Among the active cricketers, the former India captain is rated as the greatest cricketer. The 34-year-old has terrific feats in cricket, both as a batter and as a captain. There is a reason why Kohli is rated highly by many. The sheer consistency of the great cricketer can amaze any cricket fan.   

At the age of 22, Virat won the 2011 ODI World Cup. Two years later, the Delhi batter helped India to win the final of the 2013 Champions Trophy with quality knocks in the semifinal and final of the tournament. In 2014, at the age of 25, the star batter won his first Player of the Tournament award in the 2014 T20 World Cup. Virat established himself at a very young age in cricket.  

Despite all the achievements, Kohli kept on pushing himself to achieve excellence. The star cricketer became a fitness freak and inspired a lot of youngsters to be fit. From 2016 to 2019, the world saw greatness, as Virat was at his absolute best. It was a period where one of the greatest cricketers of all time scored runs for fun. During that period, the Indian team achieved its peak in Test cricket.   

The rough patch and the comeback

After the great peak in 2019, a bad phase started for Kohli. From November 2019 to August 2022, for more than 1000 days, Kohli could not score an international hundred. It was a bad phase for Virat as a batter. Despite the challenges, the star cricketer made a comeback in cricket. In the 2022 T20 World Cup, Kohli played one of the greatest innings of all time against Pakistan.   

Irrespective of the results, Kohli has always tried to learn. The great cricketer never became complacent with his success. Speaking about the same, Virat said “I draw inspiration from my past successes and learnings, analyzing the areas where I can improve from losses. Every setback becomes an opportunity for me to come back stronger" and revealed the reason behind his success.
