Shreyanka Patil starred in India’s victory in the ACC Emerging Asia Cup 2023 summit clash against Bangladesh A at the Mission Round Ground in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. Shreyanka's 4-fer, Mannat Kashyap's 3-wicket haul and Kanika Ahuja's all-round effort helped India A Women win by 31 runs.

While Kanika was the star of the final, scoring a 23-ball 30 before taking 2 for 23 from 4 overs, Shreyanka concluded the tournament as the highest wicket-taker with nine wickets. The 20-year-old has bowled seven overs in two matches at an average of 1.67 runs - conceding just 15 runs off 42 balls.

Meanwhile, apart from her stunning bowling performance, her celebration following a wicket fall during the match against Bangladesh has gone viral on social media. Shreyanka, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Women's Premier League (WPL), did a Virat Kohli-like celebration after taking the catch of Sobhana Mostary off Ahuja's bowling.

I’ve been a big Virat Kohli fan since childhood: Shreyanka

Touted as the next big thing in Indian women's cricket, Shreyanka also aggressively celebrated after India won the inaugural edition of the Emerging Asia Cup. The all-rounder said it comes naturally to her when asked about those reactions. She also said that she grew up watching the former Indian captain Kohli and is a big fan of him.

“Aggression comes naturally to me because I’ve been a big Virat Kohli fan since childhood. I love to play under pressure,” the 'RCB blood' said after the win.

In India's tournament opener against Hong Kong, Shreyanka took five wickets to help her team register a massive 9-wicket win. The right-arm off-break bowler, the leading wicket-taker for RCB in the WPL 2023, conceded just two runs in her three overs.

"I am very grateful to be wearing this jersey. Since I was a kid, I was dreaming of wearing this jersey, and I won’t stop dreaming, I’ll continue dreaming, but the thing is that it’s just in the beginning, and I thoroughly enjoyed this fifer because it means a lot to me. On a debut getting five wickets, just an amazing feeling," Shreyanka told Asian Cricket Council (ACC) after her match-winning performance against Hong Kong.
