The FIFA World Cup 2022 has been a wonderful tournament. The football has been breathtaking, fast and high-octane. It has been a tournament of upsets, and teams like Morocco have stamped their name in this World Cup by beating heavyweights such as Spain, Belgium and Portugal on the way to their semifinal. The final will be played on December 18th between Argentina and France.

Speaking of the next World Cup that will be held in four years' time, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said on Friday that 32 Teams will feature in the World Cup in 2025. There were plans to implement it at an earlier stage, but the idea got shelved because of COVID. The format will be put in place from 2025 and will feature the best teams in the World.

The details need to be discussed world out and properly planned by FIFA. Infantino said there is also an idea of putting out a Women’s club World Cup. Apart from the club competition. The U-17 World Cups will be changed to a format where it will be played every year.

Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe will face off against each other in the summit clash. The final will feature France and Argentina. The contest will be another mouthwatering clash for one final time. Ahead of the big final, there is a lot of buzz doing the rounds about how much prize money the winning team is going to get.

The winners of this year's World Cup will receive 42 Million Dollars

According to reports, the team which are crowned World Cup winners on Sunday will receive 42 million Dollars in prize money. 2018 World Cup winners, France were given 38 million Dollars. The total prize money has increased from four years ago when France lifted the cup. This was when a pot of 400 million Dollars was put out between all the teams.

When it comes to this year, FIFA will give out 440 million prize money for the World Cup. This 440 million will be distributed between all the participating teams. This will depend on how far into the tournament a particular team has gone. Each team who has simply qualified for the World Cup are entitled to receive 1.5 Million Dollars.

Argentina will aim to be crowned World Cup champions and wash away the fateful day in 2014 when they lost to Germany in the final. Whereas France on the other hand will look to win the World Cup again just like they did in 2018.
