Brazil’s star midfielder Lucas Paqueta might miss out on the upcoming FIFA World Cup due to an unforeseen injury. L’Equipe, the reputed news organization, understood that the player has suffered a serious injury that damaged his ligaments.
Reasonably, Paqueta did not take part in the Liverpool clash with West Ham United on October 19, Wednesday. The Mail quoted the boss David Moyes as saying that the team had lost a fantastic player. The chief reportedly said that Paqueta gave the team confidence and added that he has been a huge player for them.
“He has an injury, it's quite serious at the moment. I am not sure how long it will keep him out. He has been a huge player for us recently, he was coming into form and giving us a different type of dynamic in the team. We are really disappointed to lose him,” The Mail quoted Moyes as saying.
Thank you all for the messages: Paqueta
The attacking midfielder, who decided to clarify the incident, took to Instagram and said that it was a ligament injury. Further, the 25-year-old said that it was a scare and hoped to make it to the Hammers line-up at the earliest.

“Good evening people. In West Ham’s last game against Southampton, I had a right collarbone injury. I had an exam today and it was found to have a ligament injury. I’m fine, it was just a scare,” Paqueta wrote on Instagram.
“In the next two weeks I’m back and soon I’ll be on the field with the Hammers!!! Thank you all for the messages! God in control,” he added further. The midfielder has appeared for Brazil in 35 games and has scored 7 goals for the team so far. It remains to see if the player could make it to the Brazilian squad for the much-awaited World Cup. However, if he fails to make a cut to the national squad, it will be a big blow for Brazil and they will have to find other options.
