Since his departure from WWE TV, there have been many rumours on social media concerning Bray Wyatt's probable return. This week, there was a rumour that WWE was bringing back Wyatt as The Fiend. That rumour appears to have been squashed by the individual who makes The Fiend masks.
According to rumours, WWE was not pleased with Bray Wyatt's new persona and was considering other possibilities. During the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event, the former WWE Champion made his victorious return to the organisation after weeks of build-up, and the fans gave him a very positive reception. But despite the initial excitement, Wyatt's comeback has been less than successful.
According to a recent article from Fight Fans, the corporation believed that his new character was inferior to The Fiend due to their muted response to his battle at the Royal Rumble in January. They were also dissatisfied with the problems during the Pitch Black match.
“WWE wasn’t overly fond of how the Pitch Black match went down and the new Bray Wyatt masked character that debuted at the Royal Rumble, as they felt it wasn’t as good as The Fiend and wouldn’t sell the merchandise etc like The Fiend did."
Along with the claim, it was also mentioned that WWE and Wyatt's persona had been discussed. After a period of suspension, negotiations have resumed in the past two months. There is currently no confirmation of The Fiend's return.
“Have been in talks regarding it since after Royal Rumble earlier this year, talks stopped for a while and were picked up again within the last month or two. But as of today – I heard no movement currently on The Fiend making a return."
Wyatt has only competed in one televised bout since joining the business again last year, which he won versus LA Knight during the Royal Rumble. The 36-year-old star's journey to WrestleMania 39 was disrupted last February when he was forced to take some time off after allegedly suffering a serious hand injury.
