5. Ian Botham

The right-arm pacer from England was the first-ever bowler to dismiss a father-son duo in Test cricket. Botham dismissed the New Zealand duo of Lance and Chris Cairns. In July 1983, Botham dismissed the father Cairns. In Feb 1992, Botham dismissed Chris Cairns and created a unique record.

4. Wasim Akram

The reverse swing specialist from Pakistan became the first from his country and from Asia to ever dismiss a father-son duo in Test cricket. The left-arm pacer had dismissed the Kiwi father-son duo of Lance Cairns and Chris Cairns. Akram dismissed Lance in 1985 and Chris almost 10 years after that.

3. Mitchell Starc

The World Test Championship winner became the third bowler to create the record. The left-arm pacer from Australia had dismissed Shivnarine Chanderpaul in April 2012. Recently, Starc dismissed Tagenarine Chanderpaul in Perth Test in 2022 in both innings of the Test.

2. Simon Harmer

The 34-year-old spinner from South Africa also dismissed the Chanderpaul duo. The right arm off-break bowler had dismissed Shivnarine in Jan 2015. Earlier this year, Harmer became the first spinner to dismiss a father-son duo by dismissing Tagenarine in Tests.

The star spinner from India is the latest entrant to the club. The Indian spinner had dismissed Shivnarine Chanderpaul in 2011. In the ongoing Test match between India and West Indies, Ashwin dismissed Tagenarine Chanderpaul and became the first Indian spinner to have a unique record.
