Virat Kohli came to the home field to join the Bangalore camp in its preparation for the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League 2023, and the audience that was present at the venue for the open practice session gave him a rousing welcome. This training session was set up ahead of the crucial opening against the Mumbai franchise on April 2nd.

There are still a few nights left before the highly anticipated 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League begins on March 31 in Ahmedabad with the defending champions Gujarat taking on the four-time champion Chennai. 

Before the big game, former captain Virat Kohli along with other stars like Glenn Maxwell, Faf Du Plessis emerged at the home stadium to join the Bangalore team as they prepared for the IPL 2023, and the spectators who had come to see the open practice session gave him a rousing welcome.

Former players and T20 legends AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle were invited following their induction into the Hall of Fame during the franchise's annual Unbox event in Bengaluru, which is being hosted by the team. The Bangalore practice session at the Chinnaswamy and additional live performances were also live streamed by the franchise.

Bangalore have won the most matches amongst any other team from the last two editions of the Indian T20 League. The franchise was able to win 18 matches from the 31 matches they played over the course of two seasons in the Indian T20 League 2023. That would account to an astounding win percentage of 59%.

Bangalore will continue to pursue their first Indian T20 League championship. They have demonstrated remarkable play over the past three seasons, making the playoffs each time. With Kohli, Maxwell, Mohammed Siraj, and Wanindu Hasaranga now on the team, Faf du Plessis will once again captain the team. Josh Hazlewood and Rajat Patidar's involvement, though, is in question.
