Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been at the receiving end of a lot of criticism and this comes after his below-par performances in the death overs of the innings. In the recently concluded first T20I against Australia, Kumar conceded 16 runs in the penultimate over which also led to a defeat. 

As a result of that, the fans have been bashing the pacer right, left and center. The past fifteen months have been tough for the Indian team as they have lost numerous games. Apart from bilateral losses, team India have also lost the Asia Cup 2022 and the 20-20 World Cup 2021. 

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, in particular, has faced harsh criticism. The pacer leaked runs in the penultimate over in the continental tournament. The Meerut-born did the same against Australia and India had to lose the match. 

However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar can’t be the only reason for India’s loss as there were fielding errors too. Amidst that, the pacer’s wife Nupur Nagar has come to his defence and posted a cryptic story on her account. Here's a look at that:

Nupur Nagar defends Bhuvneshwar Kumar

“Nowadays, people are so worthless, that they have nothing better to do and have so much time to spread hate and envy... My advise to all those is - nobody is affected by your words or care about your existence. So please spend that time in making yourself better, though there is very less scope for that!!" Nupur Nagar wrote in her Instagram story. 

Despite the defeat, team India are likely to bank on the player as much as they can and would hope for his comeback in the next match. India will play Australia in the second T20I on Friday (September 23) at Nagpur.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will look to prove a point in the clash and make a strong statement. After all, the Meerut-born would require one good match to make a strong comeback and win it for India.
