In the 33rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. After being asked to bat first, the 'Yellow Army' posted a mammoth total of 235-4 in 20 overs. Opener Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube helped CSK with blistering half-centuries to post the huge total.

Going to bat first CSK had an amazing start as both openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Conway added 73 runs in just 7.3 overs. Gaikwad in his innings scored 35 runs off 20 balls with the help of three sixes and two boundaries. He was dismissed by Youngster Suyash Sharma. Meanwhile, Conway continued his dominance and scored his fourth consecutive half-century. Conway in his innings scored 56 runs off 47 balls with the help of three sixes and four boundaries.

After his dismissal, Ajinkya Rahane along with Shivam Dube put up an amazing show to entertain the fans. Rahane along with Dube scored 85 runs off 32 balls to help CSK post an amazing total. Dube in his innings scored 50 runs off 21 balls with the help of five sixes and two boundaries. He was dismissed by Kulwant Khejrolia.

Vintage Ajinka Rahane helped CSK to register a massive total

Ajinkya Rahane who scored his second half-century of the season was in a demon mood. He played with the field and bowlers as he hammered five sixes and six boundaries. Rahane in his innings scored 71 runs off just 29 balls with a strike rate of 244.83. He remained not out and walked back with some serious performance.

On the other hand, Kulwant Khejrolia proved to be the better bowler for Kolkata Knight Riders as he clinched two wickets by giving 44 runs in three overs. This is CSK's third 200+ score in the ongoing tournament. Earlier they had hammered RCB and Lucknow Super Giants with the same performances.
