KL Rahul has not been in the best of form, of late. He has been patchy, at best. Although he has led the team in 7 ODIs and taken the mantle of captaincy for the Indian Team, he has been found wanting with the bat. In the, recently concluded, 20-20 World Cup, he scored just 128 runs in six innings at an average of 20.33 and a strike rate of 120.75.

Rahul has copped a lot of flak for his strike rate, recently, which directly influenced his ability to score quicker and it was putting extra pressure on the batters who were to come in next. He made a return from an injury and captained the side in Zimbabwe where he looked woefully out of form.

In the 20-20 World Cup after that, he failed against the big nations. He was still backed by the team management and believed that he will deliver later on in the tournament at some stage but it did not transpire. As the tournament went on, he was labelled as a minnow basher and that he failed to deliver when the team needed him most in crunch games such as the ones against Pakistan, South Africa and in the semi-finals against England.

The right-handed batter, recently, put out a video of him on Twitter sweating it out in the gym for the upcoming Bangladesh series. The fans were quick to react and bombarded the comments section with heavy criticism. KL Rahul was at the receiving end of the brutal trolling.

Here is the video:

The Karnataka batter did not have the best of seasons in the Indian T20 League for Punjab as he could not lead his troops into the playoffs. From 2019 to 2021, they finished at sixth place for three years in the running.

Twitter was abuzz after Rahul uploaded the video on Twitter. Let us take a look at the reactions here:
