Jofra Archer has endured a long layoff from injury and has had a hiatus from the cricket setup for a long period. He hasn't played any form of competitive cricket since March. Archer last played for the England Lions in Abu Dhabi this week.

Archer missed the Indian T20 League last year on the back of his injury. He was picked by the Mumbai franchise for 8 crore INR. According to reports, he will play four games for the MI cape town franchise in the SA 20 T20 League.

He has been signed by the MI cape town side as a wildcard and it is reported that he will be back for the Mumbai franchise for the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League. Archer has terrorized batters from all over the world with his fearsome pace. He has also played in T20 competitions across the globe.

"It's great to see him back running with the ball in his hand. He's one of the superstars of the international game and it's great to see him running back in, bowling fast and it's really good to have him back around the group as well." Stokes added.

"I think he's just really excited to be back. He's obviously had a long time off with injury and as exciting as it is we've got to be careful not to rush him back as we don't want to see Jofra Archer on the sidelines for this amount of

"That's the plan, hopefully we can have Jofra fit and ready especially for The Ashes. That's something that we're looking at for Jof and it would be great to have him available for selection for that." Stokes added.

Stokes also talked about Rehan Ahmed, the 18-year-old spin sensation for England. If Rehan makes his debut against Pakistan, then he will become the youngest player for the Three Lions to make a Test Debut.
