The much-anticipated Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan commenced today, with India winning the toss and choosing to bat first. However, the match was interrupted by rain. Later at the start of the innings India lost 3 quick wickets in no time. Shubman Gill, the young and promising Indian cricketer, dropped yet another disappointing performance in the recent match against Pakistan. With a mere score of 10 runs in 32 balls, Gill failed to live up to the expectations of his team and fans.

Gill's struggle on the pitch raises concerns about his form and ability to perform under pressure. Despite being touted as one of India's future stars, he has consistently failed to deliver when it matters most. This failure against Pakistan is just another example of his inconsistency. One possible explanation for Gill's poor performance could be his lack of experience at the international level. While he has shown promise in domestic cricket, facing top-class bowlers from rival teams can be a daunting task for any young player. The pressure to perform for your country can often lead to nervousness and lapses in concentration.

Pakistan pacers rattled India's top order

Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Afridi dismissed both batsmen in quick succession. He clean bowled Rohit Sharma (11) in the fifth over and, in the very next over, sent Kohli (4) back to the pavilion. Haris Rauf sent Shreyas (14) back to the hut with a brilliant catch and also trapped Gill (10).

Later the innings building process was initiated by Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya both scoring Half centuries. Ishan Kishan departs to Haris Rauf after scored brilliant 82 of 81 balls which includes 9 fours and 2 sixes and put India in a strong position. After crossing 200 runs mark in 37th over, India will be hoping for a good end to the innings from both experienced Hardik Pandya and Jadeja. With more batting yet to come, India will hoping to target the 300 run-mark.
