After the great success of the biopic of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Bollywood is set to make another sports biopic on former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly. His character will be played by Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor, who has a great track record in biopics.

A close friend of the former Indian Cricket Board chief revealed that Ranbir is in talks and it is certain that he will be in the lead role. Ganguly is one of the greatest captains in the Indian cricket history. His aggressive captainship and team-building ability were praised by critics from time to time.

Ganguly's career, though, was nothing less than a dramatic movie with lots of ups and down and eventually a ray of light at the end of a dark tunnel. Talking about Ranbir Kapoor, who has been approached for a lead role and has a great track record in biopics, he has won multiple awards for his role in the movie 'Sanju'.

His acting skills will be a delight for cricket fans. Notably, earlier, it was said that Ranbir doesn't have any dates for the biopic but now it looks like things are coming out pretty well.

'Kohli tried to defame Ganguly', Said Chetan Sharma

Recently, a sting operation conducted on Chetan Sharma created a controversy in Indian cricket when the former India chief selector made remarks on Virat Kohli and Sourav Ganguly. In a sting operation conducted by Zee News, Sharma said,

"Virat Kohli felt he lost the captaincy because of the Board President. There were nine people in the selection committee video conference, Ganguly told him ‘think about it once’. I think Kohli didn’t hear it, there were nine others there including myself and all other selectors, and board officials."
however, fans react to the news of Ranbir Kapoor being cast in Dada's biopic. One fan wrote, "Now Ranbir will sack Virat Kohli."
