Barcelona's striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his wife were reportedly threatened with firearms by unidentified robbers who entered his garden at his home in Castelldefels, Barcelona. This news has shocked the internet and the entire franchise's fanbase is stunned to know of the unfortunate incident that took place at the striker's home. The duo are reportedly safe but have lost several belongings under the manipulation of cruel thieves.
This incident is the second of its kind that has happened in Barcelona. Before this, Robert Lewandowski was robbed of his watch worth 70,000 euros on August 18. Spanish Publication El Pais has reported that the robbers climbed aggressively into the garden of the Barca striker and threatened Aubameyang and his wife with iron bars and guns manipulating them to open a safe.
The duo, under great threat to their life, had to succumb to the pressure and they opened the safe to save their lives. The thieves managed to steal several jewels worth a lot of money and fled the scene once the neighbours raced to the area. According to the locals who reside near the striker's home, the robbers fled in a white Audi A3 and have reported the same to the local cops. Based on the report from the locals, the cops are on with their mission to hunt down the robbers at the earliest.
The duo have reportedly suffered only minor injuries as the four hooded men who barged into his man struck them to open the safe and are now safe. To everyone's surprise, this is not the first instance of a player being robbed. Nicolas Otamendi was once a victim of a robbery at his home in Italy. Manchester City's defender Joao Cancelo was also assaulted and robbed at his home in England.
Big guns like Gerard Pique, Ansu Fati, and Jordi Alba have also been the victims of robberies at their homes in Barcelona.
