Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is enduring a rough phase, both on and off the field. Despite scoring runs consistently, he hasn’t been able to help Pakistan win the series against big teams.

Pakistan first suffered a Test series whitewash for the first time at home in their Test cricket history. England won all three Tests played in the series and beat them 3-0. Babar Azam was the highest run-scorer for the team in the series.

New Zealand then toured Pakistan for a two-match Test series and three ODIs. Pakistan couldn’t win a single Test as the series ended in a draw. They began the ODI series on a winning note but then lost the next two games to New Zealand only to lose the series 2-1. There have been reports which say that the Pakistan Cricket Board is planning to opt for split captaincy.

Amidst that, Babar Azam has been found in a big controversy as leaked pictures and videos of him sexting with a girl are surfacing on social media. The Pakistan skipper has been accused of ‘sexting’ with the girlfriend of another Pakistan cricketer.

The girl alleged that she was forced to talk to Babar as the latter had ensured her boyfriend’s place in the team if she would continue to talk to him. Notably, the pictures that have surfaced online have a sharp resemblance to Babar, however, there are many who claim that all are morphed images.

It has also been understood that Babar Azam has been forcibly courted into a controversy to tarnish his image in the public eye. The Pakistan Cricket Board hasn’t yet commented on the same.

The Pakistan captain, Babar Azam, meanwhile, has shared a post on social media. Looking at that, it doesn’t seem like the recent controversy has affected him one bit.

Sharing his picture on social media, he wrote,

"Doesn't take too much to be happy."

A lot of his fans came up with heart-warming comments on his post in a bid to support him through his rough patch.
