After India suffered a crushing defeat against England by 10 wickets. Pakistan Prime Minister  Shehbaz Sharif took a dig at India saying, "So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0." India were blown away with a 170-run unbeaten stand between Alex Hales and Jos Buttler. Whereas 152/0 was in reference to Pakistan’s win over India in the 2021 edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

That victory gave Pakistan a maiden win over India in 20-20 World Cups on the back of Shaheen Afridi’s three-wicket haul against India and then Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were clinical in the second innings where Babar scored 68 off 52 balls with six fours and two sixes and Rizwan scored 79 off 55 balls with six fours and three sixes.
This is the tweet of Shehbaz Sharif:

But what made headlines is the Pakistan skipper Babar saying that he is not aware of the tweet made by the Pakistan Prime Minister. This is what he had to say about the tweet - "There is no pressure as such. But, sorry to say I didn't see this tweet so I have no knowledge of it. But yes, we just try to give our best against the opposition," Babar Azam told in the press conference ahead of the 20-20 World Cup summit clash against England.

New Zealand lost to Pakistan by 7 wickets

Pakistan and England had clinical wins over New Zealand and India which helped them to make it to the final of the 20-20 World Cup. This will be a repeat of 1992 50 over World Cup which was also held in Australia. The Men in Green and Three Lions won a 20-20 title each in 2009 and 2010.

Babar and Rizwan copped a fair bit of flak early on in the tournament for not being among the runs and that was putting pressure on the Pakistan middle order. But the Pakistan opening duo were back to their free ways of run-scoring in the crunch game against New Zealand where Rizwan scored 57 off 43 balls with five fours and Babar scored 53 off 42 balls with seven fours that helped Pakistan ensure smooth sailing into the final.
