'Baap baap hota hai' - Fans react as Wasim Akram praises Virat Kohli's running between wickets against Pakistan

Virat Kohli played a great knock against Pakistan in the Super 4 stage of Asia Cup 2023. In his stay in the middle, the star batter scored an unbeaten 122*(94), which included 9 fours and 3 sixes. It was a typical Virat innings, which included more running between the wickets than the boundaries. In his knock, only 54 runs came from boundaries. 68 runs came by running between the wickets. 

The way Kohli paced his innings was appreciable. Along with KL Rahul, the 34-year-old ran a lot of twos. Colombo was long enough to help the batters run a lot more than they would usually have. Even after playing a lot in the middle, the duo ran harder and kept on disturbing the rhythm of the bowlers. It was special to watch the two bat. In particular, Virat was exceptional.  

The knock received a lot of appreciation from everyone. The fans praised the 47th ODI hundred of the middle order batter with praiseworthy words. The commentators could not stop raving about the knock. The experts too praised the knock of the Indian number 3. Wasim Akram, who was in the dugout, appreciated the knock of Kohli and mentioned his running between the wickets. 

'You can't praise that guy enough' - Wasim Akram

The former Pakistani bowler appreciated Virat and asked the youngsters to follow his game. Akram said "Everyone should look up to Virat Kohli on fitness. His running between the wickets is simply impeccable, you can't praise that guy enough," and described the knock as a by product of the fitness of the Indian batter. It perfectly summarised the knock of the Delhi-born batter. 

On his way to the knock, Kohli broke a lot of records. The star batter scored his 47th ODI hundred and 77th in international cricket. Enroute, Virat surpassed the milestone of 13000 ODI runs in just 267 innings. Virat became the fastest batter to reach the milestone in ODIs. The spectacular knock from Kohli helped India score a massive total of 356 runs in their 50 overs.
