Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, has left for Australia in the wee morning hours of October 6th to take part in the 20-20 World Cup. A squad consisting of 14 members flew to Australia without Jasprit Bumrah, who was ruled out of the 20-20 World Cup due to a back injury.
Bumrah's replacement will be named in a few days, with Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar expected to be the frontrunners to replace India's ace of pace.
India's premier batter Virat Kohli shared a picture on social media with his India teammates Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal as they departed for Australia. “Australia bound. Exciting times ahead. @yuzi_chahal @HarshalPatel23,” Kohli wrote.
India's T20 sensation Suryakymar Yadav, who has been having a purple patch with the bat in recent times, took to his official Instagram profile to share a photo with wicketkeeping duo Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik, and also skipper Rohit Sharma.

India has been in good form in the T20I's having beaten Australia and South Africa 2 in the recently concluded T20I series against both countries. They had also clinched the T20I series against West Indies in the Caribbean 4-1 and beat England 2-1 in England. The recent form of Men in Blue has been good, and the numbers show the same.
The Indian team will be looking to iron out all their flaws and get the bowling and fielding right to go with their destructive batting lineup. Team India has not been able to get their hands on a title in a marquee event since 2013 and will want to make a fresh start and script history in Australia.
India will begin their campaign at the 20-20 World Cup on the 23rd of October against arch-rivals Pakistan in Melbourne. Team India will take part in practice games against Western Australia, as well as two cricket governing body warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand on 17th October and 19th October, respectively.
