Bangalore are enduring a tough time in the ongoing Women's T20 League as they have suffered five consecutive defeats, so far, in the tournament. The Smriti Mandhana-led team is yet to win a game in the inaugural edition and is on the verge of an exit from the group stage. While her team is going through a bad phase, star all-rounder Ellyse Perry is winning the hearts of fans with her great gesture.

Bangalore faced its fifth loss in the WTL on Monday (March 13), when Delhi defeated them by six wickets. However, a picture of Perry cleaning their dugout after the match went viral on the internet, which impressed the fans.

Fans hailed the Australian cricketer as "Beauty with brain" and said she has a habit of cleaning her dugout after matches, picking up bottles and putting them in the dustbin. They also mentioned that Perry once said, "I think wherever you play, you should respect".

Tough for Bangalore to enter the playoffs

Bangalore started their campaign with a 60-run defeat against Delhi and, in the next match too, suffered a massive 9-wicket loss against Mumbai. Chasing 202 against Gujarat, Mandhana's team had little hope of winning in their third match, but the fate was the same as in the first two matches as they lost the game by 11 runs.

Bangalore's batters crumbled for 138 runs against UP bowlers, resulting in their fourth loss. They slumped to their fifth straight defeat after losing to Delhi for the second time this season. Making it to the playoffs will now be very difficult for the Karnataka-based franchise as a lot should be going in their favour.

Firstly, Mandhana and Co need to win all their remaining matches, which now looks like a difficult task for the hapless team. They will have to support Mumbai and Delhi to win their upcoming matches against Gujarat and UP.
