India and Pakistan match turned out to be a full-packed one as one could barely spot an empty seat at the Dubai International Stadium and many celebrities from India attended the match. One of them was Urvashi Rautela, the Bollywood actress who recently said that she doesn't watch cricket at all. This came as a surprise for many Indian fans, who are well aware of the ongoing social media war between her and Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant.
Earlier, she revealed to one of her fans that she was not fond of cricket but respects Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. It was just a few weeks ago that the Bollywood actress caught herself in a scuffle with Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and took an indirect jibe at the Indian cricketer in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. She opined in the interview that a person named 'RP' waited for hours to go on a date with her and she dozed off that night due to a hectic schedule.
The Delhi batter then took it to his Instagram account to respond to the same and came up with a story indirectly attacking the actress. "It’s funny how people lie in interviews just for some meagre popularity and for hitting the headlines. Sad how some people are so thirsty for fame and name. May God bless them," Pant came up with a story later on only to delete it sooner than he posted.
The actress then responded by addressing the batter as "Chhotu Bhaiyya" and advised him to concentrate only on cricket. The war of words continued for a while between the duo and her presence at the stadium caused a huge fuss among the Indian fans. Fans were quick enough to recollect her reply to one of her fans where she said that she doesn't watch cricket.
Rishabh Pant dropped for the high-pressure match against Pakistan
The Indian wicketkeeper was dropped for the match against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 and it surprised many who expected him to get a go-ahead. India ended up winning the match by five wickets on the back of stellar innings from Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya.
"You need a left-handed in the middle order. India have a lot of right-handers there, which is one-dimensional. And he has done reasonably well. He can be someone who can open the game for you and he can be a floater as well. A bit surprising but I hope it is not long-term. I will still back Rishabh Pant ahead of Dinesh Karthik. It's a massive surprise," former India opener Gautam Gambhir opined on Rishabh Pant's exclusion.
