Sri Lanka and Pakistan will face each other in the final match of the Super 4 round in the Asia Cup 2022. It will be a good match for the two teams as they have already qualified for the Asia Cup finals. The two teams can make the best use of the game to practice ahead of the finals.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka was brilliant in the match against India. Skipper Dasun Shanaka ensured that the team did not give away much in the death overs with a good bowling rotation. On the other hand, openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis got off to a flier in the last match against India. 

Players to watch out for

1) Kusal Mendis:

The opener played a tremendous inning up front for Sri Lanka in the last match. He’ll look to replicate the same in Friday’s clash against Pakistan. Doing well against the Men in Green will come in handy in the finals. 

2) Pathum Nissanka:

Pathum Nissanka backed Kusal Mandis while opening the innings for Sri Lanka in the previous match. He’ll look to do the same in the next match against Pakistan and give Sri Lanka an edge over the Men in Green. 

3) Maheesh Theekshana:

The spinner looked in fine nick against India. He kept the lengths tight and the youngster bowled stumps to stumps. The 22-year-old can be extremely dangerous on Dubai's pitch if Sri Lanka bowls first.

Pakistan

Pakistan displayed splendid courage in the last match against Afghanistan. Despite facing a batting collapse, the Men in Green were able to clinch the match in a last-over thriller. Naseem Shah outclassed with the ball and played a blinder with the bat. The team is potentially the winner of the Asia Cup 2022. 

Players to watch out for:

1) Babar Azam:

Babar Azam's form has been a concern for Pakistan, albeit they have been winning. The skipper might be put in a situation to stand up for the team at some point in time and he needs to do it. The match against Sri Lanka will be more or less a preparation one and Azam can play freely. 

2) Mohammad Rizwan:

The wicketkeeper is doing all he can for the team in the ongoing tournament. The star batter has been flourishing so far and he'll be a player to watch out for in the Sri Lanka clash. 

3) Naseem Shah:

Needless to say, the bowler has been the find of the Asia Cup 2022. In the last match, he smashed two sixes to clinch the win for Pakistan. He'll look to emulate the same against the island nation.
