The 2023-25 cycle of the World Test Championship will get off to a flying start when England take on Australia in the iconic Ashes series. England will host Australia for the Ashes 2023 starting on Friday, June 16. The first Test of the five-match series will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham, and will conclude with the final Test at London's Kennington Oval from July 27 to July 31.

Australia will be filled with confidence after their recent victory in the WTC 2023 final against India at The Oval in London. On the other hand, England will go in to the series after a dominating win over Ireland in a one-off Test.

Pat Cummins and co will be aiming to retain their Ashes title, but England's 'baseball' style of play will be a challenge for them. English captain Ben Stokes has made it clear that they will continue with the same approach that has brought them success in the recent past. So it will be England's 'baseball' vs Australia's bowling attack.
