The Indian Cricket Team have arrived in the Caribbean ahead of their three-match ODI series against the West Indies. The three ODI matches will be played on July 22, 24, and 27. Ahead of the first ODI, Shubhman Gill shed light on India's indoor net session.

The young Indian opener has revealed that the rain played a spoilsport in their net session and had to be moved indoors. The youngster revealed that the team had planned an outdoor net session initially and had to move indoors due to rainy weather.

"The moment we arrived from the UK, we all thought having a net session would be good but it started raining (so we) went indoors," Gill revealed in a video uploaded by the Indian Cricket Team.

Gill expressed that the indoor net session did satisfy him as a batter and that is exactly what a batter expects. He added that a bit of batting be it indoors or outdoors does help the batter.

"It was better than nothing, at least batters had a knock indoors. As a batter, whenever you get to play some deliveries, it always feels good,” Gill revealed.

Gill said that it was a good session overall and expressed the desire to win the first ODI. He added that the team would look to win the series from thereon.

"Overall, a good net session. Did some specific sessions. I am feeling great. We are all excited and buzzed about these three ODIs. Hopefully, we will win the first one and then win the series and things will go smoothly,” Gill added.

The Indian Cricket Team will miss the services of star batters such as Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma in the batting department. They will also miss the services of pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. It will be up to Shikhar Dhawan and Co. to win the ODI series for India. The all-three format captain Rohit Sharma will make his return for the T20Is.
