Arjun Tendulkar is one of the emerging talents in Indian cricket. Having done the hard yards in domestic cricket, the left-arm pacer from Mumbai got his chance to play the first match for his franchise, Mumbai Indians, in the Indian Premier League 2023. Tendulkar played four matches for Mumbai Indians and impressed many with his new ball bowling.
The 23-year-old can swing the ball in the air early in the innings. Arjun usually swings the ball into the right-handers. In the middle overs, he usually relies on his accuracy to bowl economical spells. For the death overs, Tendulkar has a good yorker and can bowl wide Yorkers and slower deliveries.
Skills-wise, Tendulkar has all the bases covered pretty much. The youngster might have to work on his pace, as he is still young. With the bat, Tendulkar can add some handy runs towards the end. Though Tendulkar was not asked to bat in IPL, he is capable of doing so.
In IPL 2023, Arjun played 4 matches for Mumbai Indians and claimed 3 wickets, at a bowling average of 30.67, a bowling strike rate of 19.67, at an economy of 9.36. In one of the games against Punjab Kings, Tendulkar conceded 31 runs in an over. With experience, the youngster is expected to improve under the guidance of Mumbai Indians.
Recently, Arjun posted an image on his social media handle which went viral instantly. Tendulkar posted the image in his Instagram story. The image had a selfie of Tendulkar in which he was seen with six packs abs. The image was shared everywhere, and some of the fans reacted to the selfie of the player from Goa and praised his fitness.
Recently, Tendulkar was invited to attend the 20-day camp set up by the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The Southpaw has a hundred in first-class cricket and has 12 wickets in 7 matches. In the recently concluded Deodhar Trophy, Tendulkar represented the South Zone team.
