The Indian team is in a great position to win the second match of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Having already won the first match in Nagpur, they would look for another convincing win in the Delhi Test. While the Indian team has already seen some good performances from most of its players, vice-captain KL Rahul has not been able to deliver.

Rahul's poor form continued in the second innings of the match as he was dismissed after scoring only one run. While chasing a target of 115 runs, the opening batter could not do much as he gave away his wicket to Nathan Lyon on his first delivery.

Fans have been very disappointed with the opening batter's performances in recent times. They wish for in-form Shubman Gill to be included in the team in Rahul's place. However, the Indian team management has shown complete trust in Rahul, despite his repeated failures.

As for the match, India limited Australia to 263 runs in the first innings. Mohammed Shami, with a four-wicket haul, and Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, both with three wickets, were outstanding.

India responded with a 262-run total, thanks to a 114-run partnership between Ashwin and Axar Patel, giving the visitors a one-run lead in the first innings. Nathan Lyon was the star of Australia's innings, finishing with a five-wicket haul.

India was given a target of 115 runs in the final innings. However, they lost both their openers, Rahul and Rohit Sharma, early on for a score of 39 runs. The team led by Rohit will look to chase down the target at the earliest.

In the meantime, in the first match, India defeated Australia by an innings and 132 runs at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. Another victory is also on the cards for them in the second match in Delhi. With a win here, India will retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which they have won the last three times.
