Anushka Sharma comes out hard at fans following Virat Kohli’s hotel room invasion by intruder

Virat Kohli took the entire world into a state of shock on Tuesday after he revealed that a person invaded his hotel room in Australia and shot a video of the entire room. The incident took place while he was playing the 20-20 World Cup 2022 super 12 match against South Africa.

Kohli took to his Instagram handle to upload the same video and informed his fans about the same. Expressing his disappointment on the same, the former Indian skipper penned a big note and urged people to respect his privacy and not treat celebrities as ‘a commodity just for entertainment'.

"I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all??

I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.” Kohli wrote as a caption of his post.

The post went viral in a few minutes and many prominent names including David Warner, Varun Dhawan, and Arjun Kapoor expressed their anger in the comment section.

Virat Kohli’s wife and Bollywood star, Anushka Sharma, later, also shared the post on her Instagram handle and called the incident ‘an absolute disgrace and violation of a human being’.

"Have experienced few incidents where some fans have shown no compassion or grace in the past, but this really is the worst thing. An absolute disgrace and violation of a human being and anyone who thinks ‘celebrity ho! Toh deal karna padega’ should know that you are also part of the problem,” shared Anushka on her Instagram ‘story’ attaching Virat Kohli’s ‘invasion of privacy’ post.

“Exercising some self-control helps everyone. Also, if this happened in your bedroom then where is the line?” added Anushka.
