One of the greatest cricketers of all time, Sachin Tendulkar is celebrating his 50th birthday today (April 24, 2023). It has been ten years since he left the nation in tears with his farewell to international cricket, but the Master Blaster still holds a special place in the hearts of cricket fans for his numerous memories on the field. The legendary Indian batter has represented his country for 24 years, achieving countless records and accolades throughout his career, and above all, earning the respect of each and every individual.

The 'God of Cricket,' Sachin Tendulkar’s golden jubilee was also celebrated on Saturday during the 2023 Indian Premier League clash between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings at his home ground, the Wankhede Stadium. Tendulkar, the mentor of the MI franchise, enjoyed an unforgettable evening at the iconic venue, with a jam-packed crowd wishing the global superstar.

The right-handed batter, who had said that reaching 50 was his "slowest half-century", cut a cake near the Mumbai Indians’ dugout during the second strategic break in the first innings, with many team members forming a huddle nearby. The crowd went berserk and once again chants of 'Sachin Sachin' echoed around the Wankhede.

Tendulkar has played 664 international matches and scored 34,357 runs in all formats, which appears to be an unbreakable record at the present. The all-time leading run-scorer in both ODI and Test cricket, he is the only player in history to have scored 100 international centuries - 51 in Tests and 49 in ODIs. He also has many records to his name that some cricketers can only dream of breaking.

As he celebrates his yet another 'unbeaten half-century', the legend is showered with wishes from the cricket fraternity and his fans across the globe.

The Indian Cricket Board Secretary Jay Shah tweeted: "Happy Birthday to the legend of cricket @sachin_rt as he turns 50 today! He has inspired millions worldwide with his heroics with the bat. Warmest wishes to the God of cricket."

Meanwhile, Tendulkar's opening partner Virender Sehwag gave a unique birthday wish with a picture of himself doing 'Shirshasana'.

Let's have a look at some other wishes from fans, IPL franchises and prominent personalities from the world of cricket:
