The Team India batter Ajinkya Rahane has not represented India since the test series against South Africa earlier this year. And to add to his misery, he picked up an injury in the midst of the Indian T20 league. He was ruled out of the tournament and went through rehabilitation at the cricket academy in Bangalore. Now his better half has come up with an Instagram post that hints at welcoming their second child in October of this year.

Rahane spent much time at the cricket academy. In June, he thanked the staff members of the cricket academy for helping him get fit. "It’s been on track. So right now my only focus is on getting better. Get fit as soon as possible and be on the field. I am not sure (when) I will be able to get (fully) fit, it is expected to be around 6-8 weeks but at this moment it is about taking one day at a time, one week at a time,” Rahane said in June when asked about his injury.

In an image uploaded by Rahane's wife Radhika, the latter can be seen sitting with her first child Aarya alongside her. Besides her, stands the star-batter Ajinkya Rahane. And the caption used for the image was "October 2022". Her post flooded with blessings and wishes from all fans in and around the world. The notable one to wish was Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika Sajdeh.

The Ajinkya-Radhika duo welcomed their first child Aarya, in the year 2019. After that, the star batter led India to a massive test series victory in Australia in 2020/21. India was left puzzled with injuries in that series and the then captain Virat Kohli left the series after the 1st test match. This paved way for batter Ajinkya Rahane to lead the series. Eventually, the right-handed batter won the series as a captain.

The duo will be looking forward to welcoming their second child later this year.
