Ajay Krishna has made a remarkable debut in the ongoing season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League. The seamer has impressed everyone with his speed and troubled many batters in the tournament so far. Playing for Ruby Trichy Warriors, Krishna bowled a magnificent spell on his debut, picking up two wickets for nine runs in four overs. The speedster has made a strong statement with his performance that he’s the young talent to watch out for in the coming years.

The warriors have the presence of the former Indian opener Murali Vijay in the dressing room. Krishna reflected upon the support he’s received from the senior player. He said that the former India cricketer advises youngsters to just enjoy the game without focusing on the results.

“This is the first time I’m meeting him in person actually. He brings a lot of experience with him. Every time we enter a practice session or a match, he’s always talking to the young boys saying ‘Enjoy your game, do your best. You should always enjoy each and every ball. That’s how you can get good results, not by putting pressure on your brain. Enjoy what you’re doing and the result will be the best,” Krishna said.

The 25-year-old seamer further emphasized the importance of having a senior player guide you early on in your career.

"Every time you do something good, he comes and tells you. He takes time, comes and tells me. What else do you want? A senior player comes and tells you that you’re on the right path and we just follow it, right? (smiles),” Krishna added.

The Warriors have had a mixed start to the tournament winning one and losing one out of the two games they’ve played. They’re currently ranked no. four on the points table. They have their game scheduled against Chepauk Super Gillies on July 4th who’ve lost both their matches in the tournament so far and are ranked 7th on the points table.
