England were too good for India in the semi-final played at Adelaide where India were no match for England with the bat and ball and also in the field. The Men in Blue were outplayed comprehensively by the Three Lions. England made it two their second 20-20 World Cup final since 2010.

Former India captain Ajay Jadeja has thrown up the big question to Rohit Sharma and made an opinion on the current India captain after the Men in Blue's crushing defeat to England. England raced away to the target of 169 with twenty-four balls remaining.

Rohit Sharma has been under the scanner for his captaincy, especially during the Asia Cup 2022 where he failed to keep his emotions in check. There was not a lot of proper communication with the bowlers, and he looked like a person who was burdened with the extra responsibility of captaincy.

Speaking to cricbuzz, Ajay had some strong views to say about Rohit Sharma and him not being with the team all the time and also said that he had not expected Rahul Dravid to skip the upcoming New Zealand tour.

"I would say one thing which might hurt Rohit Sharma. If you have to make a team as captain, you have to stick with the side for the entire year. How many series did Rohit Sharma play this year? I’m not saying this in hindsight, I’ve been saying this since before. Even in New Zealand, the coach isn’t travelling,” said Jadeja.

Constant captaincy changes do not help a team- Ajay Jadeja

Ajay showed his dislike for the constant chopping and changing of the skipper of the side. He vehemently disagreed with this arrangement and said that he is not of fan of this happening as it does not bode well for the side. "There should only be one leader in the team. If there are 7, it would be difficult," said Jadeja.

Here is what Rohit had to say about the loss to England after the match: "Yeah absolutely, it is disappointing how we turned up today. I thought we still batted well but we were not at all good with the ball. It wasn't a total where a team could chase down this total with no wickets. Ah, see I think when it comes to knockout stages, it comes to individuals as well. You cannot teach them to handle pressure. They have all handled it. They have been playing Indian T20 League. Some of these guys can handle it.
