New Zealand and Pakistan locked horns for the second Test at Karachi. The Kiwis were outstanding with the bat after racking up 309-6 at the end of 90 overs on day 1. Tom Latham made 71 off 100 balls with nine fours. Devon Conway showed why he is a force to reckon with on sub-continent conditions scoring a sumptuous 122 off 191 balls with 16 fours and one six.
Kane Williamson could not replicate his form against Pakistan as he did in the first Test against Pakistan where he scored a fantastic 200 as he was shown the door by Naseem Shah. Agha Salman came on and bowled and made life difficult for the Kiwis with his off-spin. Then he showed his guile by bowling a peach of a delivery to dismiss Daryl Mitchell.
Agha Salman picked up three wickets
Mitchell was clean bowled by a googly from Ish Sodhi. Salman bowls a flighted delivery that goes through the tiny gap between bat and pad which resulted in the off stump getting disturbed. Mitchell was beaten in flight and was too late to respond to it and did not put his bat down in time which resulted in the dismissal. Salman was happy and celebrates the wicket of Mitchell with a shimmy.

Then afterward, Agha Salman dismissed Henry Nicholls to add to his wicket tally. He took three wickets in total. He also had earlier dismissed the centurion, Devon Conway. He was the pick of the bowlers picking up 3-55 in his 20 overs spell. Naseem Shah also had a good day at the office as well as he picked up 2-44 in his 16-over spell. Abrar Ahmed who had a debut Test to savour against England was absolutely hammered by New Zealand in this match as he conceded 101 runs in his 24-over spell.
The first Test between Pakistan and New Zealand was drawn. The encounter went to Day 5 and it proved to be a cliffhanger. A result could not be produced between the two sides.
