Actress Huma Qureshi shares captivating pictures with Shikhar Dhawan from 'Double XL'

Shikhar Dhawan made his debut for India in 2010 and the southpaw is all set to make his debut again, but this time for a movie. The Indian cricketer will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming movie ‘Double XL’ featuring actresses Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha.

Qureshi uploaded a picture of herself dancing with Dhawan on Instagram and captioned the image, “Cat is out of the bag …. Finally @shikhardofficial #DoubleXL @aslisona @iamzahero @mahatofficial”. Fans went crazy over the image and most opined that the duo will look good on screen.

The star cricketer said that he used to watch films for entertainment and was excited to make an appearance in a movie. Further, the left-hander wished the youth of the nation to pursue their dreams irrespective of the hurdles that they face along the journey.

“As an athlete playing for the nation, life is always very hectic. One of my favourite pastimes is to watch good entertaining films. When this opportunity came to me and I heard the story, it made a deep impact on me. This is a lovely message for the whole society, and I hope a lot of young girls and boys will keep pursuing their dreams no matter what,” India Today quoted Dhawan as saying in a statement.

My biggest goal is to play in the 2023 World Cup: Dhawan

The 36-year-old is one of the reliable openers in the one-dayers and India might bank on him in the upcoming 2023 50-over World Cup. Dhawan said that he has been working hard and hoped to be selected for the mega event.

“I wish to remain fit and fine and keep batting well so that I can make it to the team. I don’t know how long I am going to play cricket, but right now my biggest goal is to play in the 2023 World Cup. Every time I play, I am grateful to God and wish to stay fit,” Dhawan was quoted as saying.

“I have had a beautiful career, and I always try to pass my knowledge on to youngsters. Now there is new responsibility on my shoulders, but I am enjoying this opportunity and challenges ahead,” Dhawan had said earlier.
