Virat Kohli has strongly spoken about his breach of privacy incident when it was found that a person had uploaded a video of Kohli’s hotel room where his shoe collection, supplements, opened suitcase, his personal belongings were in full view in video which was captioned as ‘King Kohli’s hotel room’
A lot of celebrities and well-known names have reacted to the incident and one among them is Urvashi Rautela, who has expressed her concerns over the incident. Urvashi reacted to the incident and wrote - “Absolutely!! Immoral, unscrupulous imagine they did the same with a girl’s room #unprincipled # dishonorable.”
Kohli was fuming over the incident and said that such incidents should not happen in future and that breach of privacy is very wrong. Since the video was taken from the hotel, that is one place where the players feel a sense of security and that is the one place they would feel that the cameras are not on them and no constant monitoring has taken place. The Hotel was based in Perth and the concerned authorities have said that the guilty party has been sacked.
Please Respect people's privacy- Virat Kohli
This is what Kohli had to say about the incident in an Instagram post, “I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that,” Kohli wrote on Instagram, while also posting the video taken by the unidentified fan.
“But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment,” Kohli added.
Indian Head coach Rahul Dravid also has reacted strongly to the incident and said that when privacy is taken away, it makes everyone uncomfortable and he is very disappointed with the incident. The Crown Resorts have also tendered an apology to Kohli and said that the incident will be a one-off.
