Cricket is considered a religion in India and legendary cricketers hold a place close to gods in the hearts of some fans. Getting a moment to witness their favourite players nearby, getting an autograph or clicking a photo with them is a dream for many. Over the years, we've seen fans go crazy about these, even breaching security and entering the field during live matches.

Meanwhile, a video of Rohit Sharma's fan trying to touch the Indian skipper's feet is going viral on social media. The adoration for Rohit, Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and MS Dhoni is unreal, and it is not the first time that fans have been seen touching the feet of these legendary cricketers as a mark of respect.

In a video posted by the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) on their YouTube channel,, Rohit, who turns 36 on this Sunday, surprised a few fans who had been called to record a video for the right-handed batter's birthday. The 'Hitman' walked into their room, shocked them, and asked his supporters to wish him on his face.

One of the fans could not control his excitement and tried to touch Rohit's feet. The MI skipper immediately told him to "get up" and not do that. A grand gesture from a great player will be cherished by those fans for a lifetime.

A massive 60ft cutout of Rohit to be unveiled in Hyderabad

Meanwhile, the MI opening batter is in for another surprise from his Hyderabad fans as they are set to unveil a massive 60 feet cut-out of their favorite cricketer, which they claim is the biggest ever cut-out of a cricketer. The cut-out will be placed at RTC X Roads in Hyderabad on April 30.

On his special day, Rohit will be playing against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at their home ground, Wankhede Stadium. MI might also celebrate Rohit's birthday at Wankhede like they recently celebrated legendary cricketer and MI mentor Sachin Tendulkar’s 50th birthday.
